Got this for my b-day, and I love it. It has a sponge built in to the set that works well. It will heat up wires fast enough to solder in about 3-5 seconds on high. The button lights up when turned on. The thing can heat up to soldering temperatures in 30-45 seconds from being cold in a 20 degree F garage. Although, for some reason the screwdriver tip that came with mine was malformed and had some kind of fiber melted into it that must have happened during the manufacturing process. I just clipped it off, but buy different kinds of tips for this thing. (not the one in the "buy these 3 items together" thing, apparently it does not work.)
